DESCRIPTION
After about a two hour drive on a comfortable AC Minivan, we will arrive at the charming village of Queralbs, the gateway to Vall del Freser, at the hearth of the Catalan Pyrenees.
We will hike at the "Gorgues del Freser” trail, located at the Capçaleres del Ter i el Freser Natural Park protected area.
The route passes through singular places like the spectacular waterfall “Salt del Grill” and provides beautiful views of the valley.
You will learn about the distinctive flora and fauna of the Pyrenees and, if lucky, you will see some wild animals in their natural habitat. On warm days you will also be able to refresh yourself in the natural river pools along the route.
Service animals allowed. Public transportation options are available nearby. Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries. Not recommended for pregnant travelers. Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health. Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness. Remember to bring a sandwich and snacks for the day (there are no shops in the area). Hiking Distance: 8km / 5 milles. Elevation gain: 400 m / 1300 feet. Please bring your reusable water bottle (we provide water refill)
