While there are hundreds of things to see and do in Barcelona, numerous travelers decide to take a day trip outside the city to see another side of Catalonia.
One of the best choices is always a day spent at Montserrat, full of the beautiful mountains that loom just outside Barcelona. Montserrat is the highest peak in the region of Catalonia and exhibits a unique rocky formation due to its exposure to various elements such as wind and rain.
