La Gomera is one of the geologically younger westward Canary Islands. It is an enchanted place where time seems to have stopped. The island features an intricate maze of valleys, gullies and canyons surrounded by basaltic rock formations.
La Gomera is home to a unique example of Atlantic cloud forest, called laurisilva. It is a primordial forest with 30-metre-tall trees, evergreens, ferns and mosses. The laurisilva is an ancient, mystical forest capable of inspiring a sense of deep bond with nature and the world that once was.
