This is your chance to set eyes on a living national monument – the drago milenario, or millennial dragon tree. It's one of the oldest living species in the world, and you can take a closer look at the Millenial Dragon Tree Park, which comes complete with a sustainable garden to stroll around, picnic area and views over Teide all around.Believed to be over 800 years old, the drago milenario tree deserves all the attention it gets. Set in a park in the north of Tenerife, near Icod de los Vinos, you'll not be able to take your eyes off the main attraction – it reaches an incredible 18 metres into the sky.Once you've taken in the majesty of the drago milenario tree, you'll find a garden that represents all the differing endemic species of Tenerife, as well as background views of the Teide in the distance. Spanish, English and German video guides are available throughout the parl, then there's the winery and a cave with a reconstruction of an aboriginal Guanche burial to check out too.
