Learn also more about historical details which doubtlessly have a huge infuence on todays art. Starting the day at the colonial district you will encounter a part of the city where 13 mural paintings are part of the streetscape. This kind of artistic expresion has gained a high social value in the Dominican Republic. Visit the Bellapart Museum, which was founded back in 1999 by Juan José Bellapart, a spanish businessman. His collection holds about 2000 pieces reaching from paintings, to sculptures, prints and drawings.
