The starting point of the tour is the church with the highest church tower in the city - St. Michael's Church was considered the city's landmark for years. From here you explore Hamburg's west and walk towards the modern Elbphilharmonie, the "concert hall of superlatives". Your guide will show you the various buildings and have anecdotes from Hamburg personalities as well as gastronomic tips ready. The tour must not be missing the historic Speicherstadt, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the connected but completely different modern HafenCity, whose most famous building determines our end point - the Elbphilharmonie. This building is the symbol of the fusion of tradition and modernity in the Hamburg harbor - you can find out more about this from your guide! At the end of the tour you will have a fantastic view of the Hamburg harbor and can visit the Elbphilharmonie on your own (subject to closures of the plaza).
