What To Expect

The tour begins at the time and address of your choice. After about 1.5 hours of driving through Bavaria's breathtaking scenery. Your guide will show you the best viewpoints and let you know more about the history of the Castle. Then you will have a guided tour of Neuschwanstein's interior. After touring Neuschwanstein we can stop at Füssen, very close to the Austrian border and a good example of a traditional Bavarian old town. Here, you can have lunch at a traditional local restaurant or take a coffee break. We will now take a different route back to Munich, passing by the stunning Lake Plansee as we travel through the Austrian Alps. On the way back to Munich we can stop at the Linderhof Palace and visit the worldwide famous passion play village Oberammergau known for the passion play, wood Carvings, Christmas stores.

Specialized infant seats are available. Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller. Public transportation options are available nearby. Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness. Please list the age of the childrens under the age of 18 under the Special requirements . Please note that during the tour there are many narrow and winding stairs. The building has 5 floors, so you'll have to go 165 steps upstairs, and 180 steps downstairs. For visitors with reduced mobility or a disability there is the option to reserve the elevator. Please inform us under special requirements if you need it. **Because of the limited capacity the reservation is only possible for visitor’s with a severe walking disability (with severely disabled person's ID card).
