This tour aims to explain to you the ideological differences between East and West Germany; you will learn about the origins of the Cold War, the Berlin Airlift, the division of Germany, and the construction of the Berlin Wall.During the tour you will visit the East Side Gallery, the longest remaining stretch of the Wall, and stop by one of the few remaining East German Guard Towers. The tour will then head to the iconic Soviet War Memorial at Treptower Park, before biking to Tempelhof Airport.
You will stop for lunch, not included, in the in a typical beer garden. After the refreshing break, you will continue with your tour.During the day, you’ll have plenty of time to get to know your guide and satisfy your curiosity about the history of the city, Europe, and the world. Don't hesitate to ask your guide to suggest places for a currywurst, museums, dance clubs, or quite simply, a great spot for a traditional German beer.
