What To Expect
Marvel at one of Costa Rica's most impressive volcanoes and get close to its enchanting wildlife on this 2-in-1 combo tour. Stand above the steaming fumaroles and lake-filled crater of Poas Volcano with direct summit access, and then admire smaller-scale natural wonders at the La Paz Waterfall Gardens, a beautifully landscaped animal sanctuary. Hacienda Alsacia, in Costa Rica, is the first and only coffee farm operated by Starbucks, with more than 800,000 coffee trees growing on 240 hectares on the slopes of the Poás volcano. Acquired in 2013, the farm is currently home to Starbucks' Costa Rican Coffee Grower Support Center, inaugurated in 2004 and one of only 10 in the world, as well as Starbucks' Global Research and Development team.
