On this bee tour in Costa Rica, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the fascinating world of these small pollinators. Guided by a bee expert, you will have the opportunity to learn more about 20 native species of bees that inhabit the region.
The project itself is developed with the main idea of protecting and rescuing bee species, Don Edgar and Steven will show you details about the efforts to conserve their habitat and keep their population healthy.
During the tour, you will be able to observe the beehives and see up close how they work to produce honey and pollinate the flowers in the area. You will also have the opportunity to observe the feeding of the bees and see how they extract the honey from the combs.
In addition, the tour includes a demonstration of the process of extracting sweet cane juice, which is an important ingredient in the production of honey in the region.
