Discover Beijing’s traditional culinary culture, and go on a wide-ranging food tour with this private dinner time itinerary. Meet your guide at your downtown hotel and travel via taxi or subway to our foodie points starting place. You’ll visit several different restaurants, and will try up to 12 dishes, ranging from street skewers to Mongolian-style ice cream, all washed down with local soda, local beer, and Beijing baiju(Chinese spirit).
The special stop will be the Beijing Lamb Ribs Hotpot (used to call Old Beijing Scorpion Hotpot since the bones shape looks like scorpion), meat from the bones is gentle and juicy since boiled in soup for a few hours, easily take off the bones. Beside ribs, you also will eat a lot of vegetables in hot pot as well.
As you go, you’ll also see Beijing’s hutongs traditional alleys and courtyards that are native are staying now.
