Atacama Stargazing Tour with Indigenous Astronomer

Under one of the clearest and darkest skies on Earth, this experience reveals the beauty and immensity of the Atacama night. The Alarkapin Observatory is the only private astronomical center in San Pedro de Atacama managed by local indigenous astronomers, who combine modern scientific astronomy with ancestral Andean knowledge. Through their stories and guidance, you’ll discover how ancient cultures read the stars, understood time, and found meaning in the universe. Using professional telescopes and traditional perspectives, you’ll learn to see the cosmos not only as science — but as a bridge between worlds, where culture, spirituality, and astronomy meet. A truly unique encounter between ancient wisdom and modern discovery, beneath one of the most extraordinary skies in the world.
