What To Expect

Locals agree that Mt Rigi is one of Switzerland’s most favorite places for hiking

Mount Rigi, also known as the “Queen of the Mountains”, is THE mountain peak where Swiss alpine tourism began over 200 years ago. It may not be as high as its opposite peak, Mt Pilatus, but a round trip to the summit of Mt Rigi and a hike along its ridge path with spectacular views is always worth the trip.

Highlights of this tour:

2-3 hours of easy walking on marked trails with panoramic views over the Alps and lakes

We will have a light BBQ lunch – your guide will take care of the fire and logistics. In winter we will have a light lunch at a local restaurant.

(Vegetarians – please warn us in advance!)

4 types of public transportation – local train, cogwheel railway, aerial cableway and and boat

Option to include time at the Rigi Kaltbad Mineral Spa Bath indoor/outdoor facilities.
