What To Expect

Your Mount Rigi self-guided day ticket grants access to one of Switzerland's most famous mountains. A preferred outing for families, hikers or lovers of a relaxing day in nature, the mountain lays like a peninsula within Lake Lucerne and Lake Zug, right in the heart of Switzerland. It is very easily connected from Lucerne by boat, train or private car to Vitznau or Weggis, and from Zurich by direct train line or highway A4 to Arth-Goldau. The 360-degree views from the top are stunning and the countless optional activities provide full relaxation for everybody.

Wheelchair accessible. Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller. Service animals allowed. Public transportation options are available nearby. Suitable for all physical fitness levels. Wheelchair accessible only on the cogwheel trains, not cable cars. Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately. Children up to 15 years travel free of charge all year around when acommpanied by at least an adult on Mt. Rigi (please buy ticket on spot for the lake cruise and the Mineral Bahts & SPA Rigi Kaltbad). Beaware of the closing times of the cable car by visiting rigi.ch prior to your travel. Use Vitznau train line instead (no refund due to this!). GOOD TO KNOW: The ticket can be used at any time during operating hours; you don't need to stick to the starting time.
