What To Expect
Toronto Island is the only island chain in Western Lake Ontario, it has a diverse collection of plants and wildlife, and holds deep history dating back to the first native American people. Did you know the location for Toronto, then called York, was chosen due to the prime natural harbour created by the Toronto Island, then a peninsula?
Wards and Algonquin Island are some of the oldest neighbourhoods in the city and some of their ancestors are still here today.

Service animals allowed. Public transportation options are available nearby. Suitable for all physical fitness levels. The ability to swim short distances is a requirement to participate.. Minimum of 2 people to run. If minimum enrollment is not met 24hrs prior to the start time of the event, it will not run.. Total Tour Duration inclusive of travel time from start to each leg of the tour & back.

Step 1: Take the Wards Island Ferry from the Toronto Island Ferry Terminal (Jack Layton Ferry Terminal).
Step 2: Walk west on the main road for 5 minutes and meet at our location just past the Riviera Restaurant.
