What To Expect

Be dazzled by a sky full of more stars than you can possibly imagine. Join our skilled guide on a star and moonlit hike through the Kananaskis forest. This hike is sure to open your senses and change your perspective; even a familiar trail looks different after hours!

In an open meadow, your group will pause to relax and take in the night sky; you are welcome to bring a camera and tripod to try out some astrophotography or to just hang out with the group, and chat about astronomy.

Certified guide, snowshoes (if needed), headlamp, hot drink and cookie included. This tour is suitable for children 13 years and older.

Service animals allowed. Suitable for all physical fitness levels. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Dressing appropriately for the weather is essential, be sure to check the current weather report for Kananaskis (Nakiska Ridgetop) prior to arriving.. Warm hat, sunglasses, warm gloves or mitts.. Warm comfortable clothes, dress in layers; long underwear, a mid layer (ex: fleece or softshell) and a jacket are perfect.
