Pico da Tijuca Hiking Tour

The Tijuca Peak is the highest point in the Tijuca National Park, 1022 meters above sea level, the second highest in Rio. Accessible by track, your plateau allows observation of the city in 360 degrees, making it a Rios reference.

The staircase with 177 steps at the end of the trail was excavated in the early twentieth century. The president sent sculpt the staircase to the visit of the King of Belgium.

On the way we’ll visit the famous Chinese View, located in the Alto da Boa Vista and also the Taunay Waterfall, with 35m, the largest in the Forest!

The Tijuca Peak trail has an extension of 4.700m (round trip), and approximately 300 meters of vertical rise.

Most of the way is inside the forest, listening toucans, watching monkeys and large groups of raccoons, famous for entering the bins and steal food from people.

If you are traveling alone let us know that we can include you in an existing group.
