Itaipu guided excursion with Wild Animals Eco-retreat and Ecomuseum

Visit the important Itaipu Dam with its approximately 8 km long and 196 meters high. Learn the history about the plant and its operation. You will also enjoy a visit through the penstocks by bus. The tour continues to the Bela Vista Wild Animals Eco Retreat, a unit of environmental protection, created in the 70s to receive thousands of plants and animals displaced by the plant's reservoir. Finally, you will visit the Eco-museum, a cultural place which preserves the history of the plant and the Brazilian region where the dam was built.
