The tour starts at Santo Antonio da Barra Fort, built-in 1536 to protect the Bay of All Saints. 162 years later it gained a lighthouse, the "Farol da Barra", to guide the boats coming to the coast. The lighthouse still works. The next stop will be at São Diogo Fort, from where you can contemplate a spectacular view of All Saints Bay (stop for 10 minutes approximately). You will pass the Corridor of Vitória, Largo do Campo Grande, and 7 de Setembro Avenue. The tour continues to the Pelourinho (the historic center of Salvador), stopping at Municipal Square which has a panoramic view of the Lower City and stops at Sé Square, a place that keeps ruins of the first Basilica of Brazil. Then, you will admire the São Francisco Church and Convent, one of the most important expressions of Brazilian Baroque (You will have about 30 minutes to visit the church; entrance ticket not included).
