Under the dome of the northern wing of Sofia University is situated a museum that throws light into the darkness of the distant geological ages.
The Museum houses in its collection and exposition more than 200,000 fossil specimens, rock samples, and geological maps of Bulgaria and the neighboring territories.
The central place, directly opposite the entrance, is assigned to the pride of paleontologists - the restored skeleton of the genus Deinotherium (Deinotherium thraciensis Nikolov). The imposing skeleton (7 m long and 4.20 m high), is built of authentically preserved bones (more than 90%).

The museum is located in the building of the Sofia University "Kliment Ohridski" on the 5th floor. The university is very large, so you will receive a PDF with a guide to the museum.
