In just 40 minutes, you’ll get to taste chocolate bonbons and single-origin chocolates from three of Belgium’s top artisanal chocolatiers (awarded Gault & Millau Chocolatier of the Year 2019, 2024, and 2025). Learn about their inspiring stories and gain insights into the chocolate-making process from an expert. You’ll also have the chance to try a selection of cacao products, taking you on a journey from the cacao bean to the final bonbon. At the end of the tasting, you'll receive a personalised chocolate visa, making you an official ambassador of Belgian chocolate!"
The tasting takes place in one of Ghent's oldest houses, House de Lelye, dating back to the 16th century, next to the iconic Gravensteen Castle.
Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller. Service animals allowed. Public transportation options are available nearby. Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap. Due to the fact that our shop is located in a historical building, it is not easily accessible by wheelchair. If you use a wheelchair or you have any other support needs, contact us beforehand so we can look together what we can do to make this experience accessible for you.. This activity takes place in a chocolate shop. The tasting room temperature is around 18°C to maintain the quality of the chocolate. We would advise to bring a sweater if you are easily cold.. This tour/activity will have a maximum of 8 travelers. Only children aged 8 and above are allowed to participate in the activity. Due to the explanatory nature of the experience, we recommend it for older children who can fully appreciate the activity. Our tasting room is intimate, and we strive to create an enjoyable environment for everyone. For this reason, we kindly ask that participating children are able to sit calmly and listen throughout the tasting.
Chocolade Ambassade: just around the corner of the Gravensteen castle, look for the tallest traditional Flemish "stairs" house. Please make sure to arrive in time, preferably 10 minutes before the start of the activity.
