What To Expect

All aboard our heritage Rail Motor as it travels over the Thomson River and its flood plains, highlighted by the stories that connect the romance of rail with a special slice of western Queensland life outside your window. This tour offers travellers and families a short immersive rail experience.

Service animals allowed. Public transportation options are available nearby. Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap. Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries. Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness. Please Advise any Food Allergies or Mobility Concerns. Passengers are required to disembark the train via the steps of the train at Darr River & the Mulga Walk locations.

Please arrive 30 minutes prior to departure for check-in. The Railway Station is located on the Landsborough Highway, opposite Anzac Park, which is next to the WaterTower. Look for a guide who wears a Savannah Guides uniform.
