We start the day with a journey up the mountain to the Atherton Tablelands, we arrive at the famous Curtain Fig Tree, an enormous strangler fig tree over 500 years old!
We meet the local indigenous tribe for a cultural tour sharing dreamtime stories of the lands and showcasing the Rainforest tucker, medicines, and tools from the natural lifestyle.
Out tour continues at Crater Lake National Park's multi-award winning Lake Barrine Tea House, where we enjoy a Devonshire Tea, with scones, jam and cream.
Visit the towering bull kauri pine trees, these incredible giants are an astonishing 45m tall and have a trunk girth of more than 6m.
Hike through the UNESCO world heritage rainforest its time to jump
Swim in the tranquil blue lake volcanic crater lake, enjoy some free time, glide along the smooth surface with a pool noodle & keep watch for curious turtles and fish below.
As the day ends we search for wildlife on a trail walk, possums, tree kangaroos and platypus.
