Chalten Trekking to the Huemul Glacier Viewpoint from El Calafate

Start your day with a pick-up at your hotel in Calafate and embark on a trip north along Route 40, enjoying the local fauna and, if the weather permits, a sunrise over the hills. After approximately an hour and a half, you will arrive at Desert Lake, where your adventure will begin.
The low-difficulty trek crosses a native forest and takes you to the foot of the beautiful Laguna Huemul, known for the turquoise color of its waters. During the 40-minute walk each section, you will be able to enjoy nature and relax in a stunning environment.
Once at the viewpoint, you can admire the impressive panoramic views of Laguna Huemul and the glacier. Descend to the edge of the lagoon to enjoy a rest and, if you wish, bring your own lunch to enjoy in this beautiful environment.
