A good break to enjoy a magnificent view of the Andes Mountains and begin to learn about the history of the ranch. On the way there are excellent views of the South Arm of Lake Argentino discovering various rocky outcrops eroded by glacial action and changes in lake levels caused by the natural ice dam generated by the Perito Moreno Glacier. The folds of the terrestrial crust differentiated from each other by the variety of sediments that gave rise to it. These formations follow one another until they reach a point where the rocks form a natural amphitheater with calm beaches of curious shapes. The trails are framed by lenga and ñire forests, where caranchos, cachañas, hares, woodpeckers, eagles and an abundant variety of native flora and fauna. The tour can

The tour ends in the old shearing shed, today a small historical museum, a vestige of the years in which the estancia was dedicated mostly to sheep farming, today replaced by a prestigious cabin of Polled Hereford. Opportunity to see a shed with all its components and understand the work of the shearing troupes. Demonstration of shearing with scissors as it used to be done before the appearance of the mechanical handle. The explanation includes from the shearing of the animal to the assembly of the wool bundle, the way in which wool is stowed and transported.
In the surrounding corrals the riders wait to do a "test of reins' or according to the activities day farm work will be done. After the activity in the corrals, return to the Quincho where the roast lamb on the stake is ready to go to the table. Meanwhile, life in the ranch continues and it is common to see the gauchos on horses herding cattle and/or sheep and getting lost in the horizon.
After lunch there is free time until it is time to return to El Calafate. Knowing more about life of the region and expediting the work of a typical Patagonian ranch gives more meaning to the immense Patagonian landscapes with infinite horizons.
