The Santa Cruz River has been the route of one of the most emblematic explorers in Patagonia: Charles Darwin, and Deep Patagonia recreates that journey aboard kayaks.
On this multi-adventure tour we set out in 4x4 on Route 40 to the Santa Cruz River and from there, after a technical talk and equipping ourselves with dry suits, we began to paddle downstream.
In the course of sailing we will see geological formations and a wide variety of fauna, elements that inspired Darwin is his mythical journey through these lands.
After 15 km downstream we arrive at Estancia Rio Bote, where we wait for the expeditionaries with lunch on the banks of the river, and then return to El Calafate.
