DAY ONE
We depart from Playa Negra, at the shore of Lago Mascardi. We sail through the waters of the Brazo Catedral, enjoying the varied colour-scheme which characterizes the lake, until we reach Playa de los Leones, where we stop for lunch.
We return sailing on the opposite shore tacking Cerro Mora and take the Brazo Tronador, surrounded by wild vegetation, and dense forest with lush trees.
Once we get into the Brazo Tronador, we can enjoy the majestic view of the mountain after which that branch of the lake is named. We set camp at the foremost extreme, where there is the entrance to the Río Manso Superior, a river born from glacial thaw. We dine on the shore of the lake and spend the night there.
DAY TWO
Sunrise finds us at the shore of Lago Mascardi and we have breakfast before departing. Always under the vigilant summit of Cerro Tronador, we sail on the opposite coast of the branch tacking Cerro Flores de Leon.
We pass by Isla Corazón and stop for lunch on a beach near Bahia de Los Rápidos. Then, we continue our expedition plowing through Lago Mascardi between islets and nestled bays until we reach once more Playa Negra, at the end of our journey.
