The city of Konispol is located in southern Albania, about 1 km from the Greek border.
The main economy of the city is agriculture and the houses in Konispol have distinctive architecture.
Konispol is known for its resistance to communism in Albania, and in 1992, 7 caves were discovered, belonging to the Paleolithic era.
It is also well known for its traditional cooking, its olive plantations, oranges and mandarins (including its famous Mandarin Festival).
