Our first destination is the charming old town of Lin, nestled on a small peninsula along the western shores of Lake Ohrid. With its medieval houses and panoramic views from Mount Qafe Thane, Lin offers a picturesque start to our trip.
Following our Lin visit, we pause briefly at Drilon Park, a serene spot by the Drilon River. This river, flowing gracefully into Lake Ohrid, has created a unique ecosystem, serving as a habitat for many graceful swans.
As we swiftly cross into North Macedonia, we encounter Saint Naum, a historic monastery that has stood for over 1200 years impressing visitors with its enduring architectural beauty.
Continuing our scenic drive along the lake's perimeter, we reach Ohrid, a city where time seems to stand still. Ohrid is renowned for its 365 churches, each reflecting the influence of various cultures from the Roman Empire to the Ottoman Empire, and more. After exploring the city's churches, castle, and it's viewpoints, we begin our journey back to Tirana.
